Burnett Marus, RFC: Mr. Marus has been active in the financial planning field since 1972 beginning as a professional life agent in the State of Michigan. He began to specialize in tangible
investment portfolios in 1975 and formed North American Investment Management Corporation in 1976, serving as President. Mr. Marus was the leading representative for two
major international firms dealing in rare coins and rare stamps. In 1980, he sold his interest in North American Investment Management and began private practice with Burnett
Marus Associates, Ltd., as an industry consultant in tangible asset investments. He conducted seminars on the subject for a number financial organizations including the
International Association of Financial Planning , the Canadian Association of Financial Planners, the International Association of Registered Financial
Consultants, the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the American Society of CLUs and ChFCs.
In 1981, Mr. Marus accepted the position of President of U.S. Numismatic Investment Group, Inc., one of the nation's largest rare coin investment firms and an affiliate of
Heritage Capital Corporation. Heritage Capital Corporation also includes Heritage Rare Coin Galleries, Heritage Auctions, Inc., and Ivy & Mader Philatelic Auctions, Inc. During
his tenure, Mr. Marus changed the corporation name to U.S. Tangible Investment Corporation, adding rare stamps to the product line and specialized services and support to
the investment community.Mr. Marus successfully expanded company operations into Canada in 1986.
Eastern Michigan University also awarded Mr. Marus their prestigious Alumni Achievement Award in 1986. He was named as the advisor to the first limited partnership in rare
U.S. coins in Australia in 1991. In 1996, Mr. Marus was named to "Who's Who of Professionals". He recently re-tired from the National Board of Directors of the International
Association of Registered Financial Consultants, after serving as national treasurer; he had also previously served on the national board for three consecutive two-year terms
(1990-1997) and also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning for six years (1982-
1988).
After 24 years with U.S. Tangible Investment Corporation, Mr. Marus formed Burnett Marus Associates, a marketing consulting firm specializing in programs for financial
advisors, estate attorneys and RIAs. Recent clientele engaging the firms services include a regional securities broker-dealer, a national hedge fund, an international
securities analyst; a national pension consulting firm, several financial planning firms, and an international financial planning trade organization.
CoinAnalysis.com was founded to provide fee-based evaluation and advisory services to the investment community on rare coin holdings. Mr. Marus founded an affiliate firm,
Investors Rare Coin and Bullion Services (IRCBS) to provide professional auction agent services for clients wishing to acquire rare U.S. coin portfolios as well as precious
metals for investment.
He has been a frequent and popular guest on numerous radio and television talk shows in the United States and Canada discussing tangible asset investments as well as
conducting many educational seminars on the topic. His courses include Rare Coins and Trusts; Tangible Asset Basics for the Financial Advisor ; Asset Allocation Strategies
Using Tangible Assets and The Use of Tangible Assets in Qualified Plans. Many of the courses are acceptable for CPE credits for CPAs, CFPs, RFCs in the United States
and for RFPs, CFPs, CGAs and CAs in Canada.
Among the organizations he has spoken for are: The National Convention of the International Association of Registered Financial Planners; IAFP Chapters in Long Island,
Detroit, Dallas-Fort Worth; San Antonio, Houston, Quad Cities, Birmingham, New Orleans and Pittsburgh; the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors ; the
2001 and 2002 Financial Advisors Forum; the British Columbia Chapter and the British Columbia North Chapter of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners; the Iowa

His articles have been published in Financial Planning, The Register, Ticker Magazine, The Investment Advisor, The Journal of Personal Finance, The Financial Times, The
Investment News, The Detroit News, The New York Sun, The Montreal Gazette, The Vancouver Sun and The Calgary Sun among others. His book, "U.S. Rare Coin
Investments; A Practical Guide for Financial Advisors" was published in Fall 2003.
